Hello, I'm Jemma. I'm Mum to two children and live in the Balaclava/ Mornington area. I completed the Breastfeeding Peer Supporter training in June 2017. I was inspired to become a Peer Supporter because Peer Supporters helped me immensely when my first child was a baby. I have really enjoyed breastfeeding my children and want other women to be able to enjoy it too. You can see me at The Breast Room (at the Hub in South Dunedin) along with our other lovely volunteers. The Breastroom is open Tuesdays and Thursdays,10am to midday.
Peer Supporters are not medical professionals, but are volunteers trained to provide information and support through common challenges to the normal course of breastfeeding.
